Happy Tuesday Folks,
Looks like the White House is doing whatever it can to distract people from the fact that Obamacare is raising costs for American families and reducing access to their doctors.
Colleen McCain Nelson of The Wall Street Journal recently reported that, “President Barack Obama on Tuesday will launch a new effort aimed at highlighting the benefits of the Affordable Care Act, as the White House works to shift the conversation away from the botched rollout of HealthCare.gov.”
As a part of the effort, “White House will take the lead in emphasizing a different benefit each day until the Dec. 23 enrollment deadline for Jan. 1 coverage,” according to Politico’s Carrie Budoff Brown and Jonathan Allen.
Instead of a countdown to January 1, the White House should begin a countdown for when President Obama’s “fix” for cancelled healthcare plans expires and people are kicked off the insurance that they like, or even a count-up to highlight how Americans are seeing their premiums rise.
Obamacare is hurting the Americans people, and conservatives need to maintain a sustained effort to demonstrate that there is better policy out there.
That’s why YG Network is excited to announce that April Ponnuru is joining the team. As reported by Mike Allen this morning, Ponnuru “has joined the organization as Policy Director. … Prior to joining YG Network, she served as a senior advisor to Senate Republican Conference Vice Chairman Roy Blunt (R-MO). … Ponnuru is the former Executive Director of the … National Review Institute, … and was National Review … Vice President.”
Ponnuru will aide YG Network in the fight to help American families join the middle class and stay there.
Seize the day.
