Happy Wednesday folks,
In case you missed it, Juliet Eilperin of The Washington Post recently reported that the hype about Obamacare’s online exchanges has vanished. Wrote Eilperin: “The number of visitors to the federal government’s Healthcare[dot]gov Web site dropped 88 percent between Oct. 1 and Oct. 13, according to a new analysis of America’s online use, while less than half of 1 percent of the site’s visitors successfully enrolled for health insurance the first week.”
A drop of 88 percent shows that individuals may have been curious about the exchanges, but are now more aware of the problems associated with Obamacare.
They turn on the TV only to hear that another ally of President Obama is expected to get an exemption from the law, and they see how businesses are cutting back hours or dumping health benefits in order to deal with the law’s intrusions into their balance sheets.
The Administration needs seven million people to enroll into Obamacare, but as everyday Americans see that the law is not giving them a fair shake, they will have less and less incentive to visit the Obamacare site.
Seize the day.
