Washington Post: 15 Million People “Facing A Potential Coverage Gap”

Happy Thursday folks,

Looks like Obamacare will continue to cause lots of angst this holiday season. Sarah Kliff of The Washington Post recently reported that, “the law’s insurance cancellations mixed with the Web site’s problems might leave some people who have coverage now uninsured in the new year.”

It is an aggravating disruption for millions of people, and “[t]he concern is particularly acute for patients with expensive medical conditions, who rely on their coverage for doctor visits and drug refills that would otherwise break the bank.”

“Those facing a potential coverage gap include an estimated 15 million people who purchase coverage for themselves on the individual market,” according to Kliff.

The damage caused by Obamacare extends to entrepreneurs as well. Jayne O’Donnell of USA Todayrecently wrote how one business owner, Eric Tetler, had to send his father into Medicare and raise his employees’ deductibles by $1,000 in order to account for Obamacare.

“Even though I may be for health reform in some manner, this is all wrong,” said Tetler. He went on to explain how Obamacare will have long-term disastrous effects on his business: “At some point as a company owner, I will need to say no more and drop our health plan altogether and be confronted with losing valuable employees.”

Millions of people are experiencing higher costs, reduced access to doctors, and uncertainty about their coverage. Clearly, liberal agenda is not working for American families.

Seize the day.
