Happy Wednesday folks,
If Chevrolet deems it necessary to recall its 2013 and 2014 Camaros because of unsticky stickers (yes, this is real), then certainly it’s time for the Obama Administration to recall its problem-ridden healthcare law.
According to Bloomberg’s Kalthleen Hunter, even liberals who have supported the law- Senators Mary Landrieu and Joe Manchin- “are rallying support for measures to delay Obamacare penalties or let people keep their health plans as Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius testifies again on the flawed rollout.”
It’s not just the flawed rollout that should worry liberal lawmakers who have supported Obamacare. It’s also the prospect that Obamacare “could grow the number of people on foodstamps,” according toPolitico’s Tarini Parti.
Wrote Parti: “The Obama administration has ordered a study to determine whether the Affordable Care Act, by increasing the number of people eligible for Medicaid, will also increase the number of people enrolled in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program based on how states enroll people.”
Greg Miller, a senior fellow at the Urban Institute, said that the result of the study could show an increase of 3 to 5 percent in food stamp enrollment.
This might not sound like much of an increase, but with 47 million Americans on food stamps already, it adds up to be a lot of people and a lot of taxpayer dollars.
A majority of Americans are worried about the number of people on the food stamp program these days. According to a national poll conducted by YG Network, 63 percent of Americans believe that “welfare programs should be available to provide temporary assistance for the needy but the safety net can become a dependency trap” (which includes 82 percent of conservatives, 61 percent of moderates, and even 44 percent of liberals).
Albeit, the results of the study have yet to come in, but the prospect of expanding food stamp rolls to new heights is bad news for the American economy.
Americans work too hard to see their hard-earned money go towards a failed program like Obamacare.
On the heels of the popular ad, “High Tech,” YG Network has released two more ads in the “This Is Obamacare” series to comically highlight what’s happening behind the closed doors of the IT department in charge of the Obamacare website.
