Three Polls, One Takeaway: Americans Fed Up With Obama And His Agenda

Happy Tuesday folks,

Three major polls out today all say the same thing: the American people are fed up with President Obama and his policies.

A new Washington Post-ABC News poll shows that President Obama’s approval rating is sinking fast. “Obama’s approval rating fell to 41 percent, down from 46 percent through the first three months of the year and the lowest of his presidency,” according to Dan Balz and Peyton M. Craighill.

It’s easy to see why the American people are fed up with his liberal agenda- his policies simply don’t work. Ron Fournier of National Journal points out that while President Obama takes a victory lap for his signature health law, Americans believe Obamacare is harmful.

Regarding the WaPo/ABC News poll, Fournier noted that, “[n]early half of Americans say their personal health care costs are increasing under Obamacare (47 percent). Just 8 percent report decreases.”

And the law is not popular with a group formerly thought to be Obama’s base- young people. According to a new Harvard Institute of Politics survey, Obamacare has only 39 percent support among 18-29 year olds.

The American people cannot afford Obamacare. Not only because it raises costs and reduces work hours, but also because President Obama and his liberal allies have chosen to focus on pet projects instead of economic growth.

And this According to a brand new Battleground Constituent Poll from YG Network (taken across the 90 most competitive US House districts, as defined by The Cook Political Report), 65 percent of battleground constituents believe the economy is either stagnant or declining.

Three polls; one message: the American people are tired of the liberal worldview imposing higher costs on everyday things, like gas, groceries, and healthcare. Conservatives have an opportunity to show that their ideas work better than the Left’s at helping Americans with “kitchen-table” finances.
