On this cold, snowy day, you’ve probably been hearing a lot of hot air about the recent Obamacare enrollment numbers, so here are some important tid-bits to keep in mind:
- Almost two thirds of the enrollment period has passed, and the enrollment figures (3.3 million) are not even halfway to the original goal of 7 million people
- The original goal of 7 million enrollees has been scaled back to only 6 million,
- And speaking of enrollment, the 3.3 million enrollee figure is only for those who have chosen a plan- there is no data on how many people have actually paid their premiums.
And these are major shortcomings of the law, only on the enrollment side of things. On how it affects middle-class Americans- the story continues to worsen. As Timothy W. It’s not fair that Americans are forced to deal with this disastrous healthcare law when they are just trying to tread water in this down economy.
