When Senator Marco Rubio spoke at our event co-hosted with Hillsdale College yesterday, he spoke about the need for smart, conservative policies to help get this country back on track. “To restore the American Dream,” said Rubio, “we need a new policy agenda designed specifically for the 21st century.”
Room to Grow is just the policy solution that Senator Rubio was talking about—one that, as Peter Wehner writes in Commentary Magazine, “aims to replace a failing liberal welfare state with a lean and responsive 21st century government worthy of a free, diverse, and innovative society.”
It’s time for conservatives to starting working towards the policies outlined in Room to Grow to help restore the American dream, especially at a time that, as our most recent poll shows, only 6% of women feel that the American dream is “alive and well.” Because as Senator Rubio said yesterday, “there cannot be an America without the American Dream.”
