Happy Friday folks,
According to The Wall Street Journal’s Carol E. Lee and Colleen McCain Nelson, President Obama is “preparing additional executive actions over the next month relating to infrastructure projects and job training to bolster his argument” for political purposes.
He is cynically setting up a liberal wish-list rather than making an honest attempt to help middle-class families.
President Obama should reconsider this strategy, as the American people overwhelmingly disagree with his unilateral actions. According to YG Network’s recent Battleground Poll, 57 percent of constituents disapprove of President Obama acting without the approval of Congress to achieve his policy agenda. A mere 38 percent support such a maneuver.
It’s important to note that it’s not just how President Obama is pursuing his agenda that puts him at odds with the American people. It’s also the policies themselves that the American people do not support.
Fifty-seven percent of Battleground constituents agree that “while President Obama and Democrats have focused on Obamacare and climate change, working middle class families continue to struggle and the President and Democrats don’t seem to have any economic plan for the future.” Only 32 percent disagree with that statement.
It’s unfair to hardworking American families that President Obama and his liberal allies continue to parade around their narrow agenda while good jobs are hard to come by and prices for things like education, gas, and groceries continue to rise.
Draft the day.
