Happy Wednesday folks,
It’s almost painful to watch when people try to generate headlines when there are none to be found.
For example, Jimmy Kimmel recently compiled Los Angeles-area TV reporters desperately trying to show that southern California’s weather was as wintry as many other parts of the country. Some examples include: the account of a man who had to wear a windbreaker to work, leaves were blowing around, and Starbucks customers were forced to use the drive through.
The rest of the country is not impressed.
A similar phenomenon has been occurring within the realm of Obamacare, as the Obama Administration is scrambling to find any positive news to counter all of the law’s problems.
However, as Politico’s David Nather recently reported, “the problems with the rollout are sure to continue, and they’ll get plenty of attention when they do.”
And for good reason- millions of Americans are hurting as a result of the law. Not only have more than 4.7 million people received cancellation notices, but more than 150 million hard-working Americans are expected to dig deeper into their own pockets for their employer-sponsored healthcare.
President Obama and his liberal allies are waging an all-out campaign to portray their healthcare and economic policies as a success, but the record speaks for itself. People’s costs for healthcare are going up- and so are their costs for energy and education. Conservatives need to show the American people that there are sound policy alternatives to the failed liberal agenda.
Seize the day.
