Washington, D.C. - News reports today indicate that today liberals and progressives in Washington have launched a “major health care offensive to repackage the unpopular Affordable Care Act (known as ObamaCare). The YG Network’s “Woman Up” Initiative has conducted research on women and ObamaCare, finding that women do not approve of President Obama’s Affordable Care Act.
“Bad policy is still bad policy, and no matter how pretty the bow tied around it is, ObamaCare is very bad policy for women. People across the country, young and old, men and women, do not support the Obama Administration’s approach to health care. Women, in particular, like the health care that they currently have, want to keep it, and believe that ObamaCare will take it away,” said Mary Anne Carter, Executive Director of the YG Network’s “Woman Up” effort. “Health care is a personal issue for women and ensuring that costs are low for them and their families is top priority. Both single and married women prefer that Congress take steps to make health care more patient centered, simple, and affordable after the November elections. That is where the focus must be.”
Last month, Grace-Marie Turner - President of the Galen Institute – wrote about the top ten worst parts of ObamaCare for women. Read the article here. Also last month, the YG Network conducted a national health care survey with an additional oversampling of women over and under 55 years of age as part of the YG “Woman UP” Initiative. They survey clearly revealed that women do not approve of President Obama’s Affordable Care Act.
The YG Network is organized as a non-profit 501(c)(4) dedicated to supporting conservative, center-right policies and the efforts of policymakers who fight for those policies. By seeking solutions that create jobs, encourage innovation, instill fiscal discipline, establish a patient-centered health care system and pursue energy security, we can foster the optimal environment for America’s businesses and entrepreneurs to succeed and flourish.
