Obamacare Pressing Small Biz To “Trim” Workers

Happy Thursday folks,

President Obama and his liberal allies would like for you to believe that Obamacare is a total success, and that “it’s well past time to move on” because the law’s splendors are self-evident.

However, as President Obama continues his victory lap with the law, more middle-class Americans realize that it’s ineffective policy. From March to April of this year, constituents in battleground districts have become more unfavorable of the law (from 52 percent unfavorable to 55 percent unfavorable).

It won’t be surprising if Obamacare becomes even more unpopular when people learn more about its impacts on small businesses.

Sarah E. Needlman and Angus Loten of The Wall Street Journal recently reported that Obamacare is inflicting a “lasting impact on how lots of [small business] owners choose to run their companies.” Specifically, they “have begun restructuring their businesses, reducing their employees’ hours, for example, or trimming their total head counts to fewer than 50 full-time workers.”

The law’s negative impact on small businesses is a negative impact on workers.

It’s unfair that Obamacare continues to wreak havoc on the economy while so many Americans are struggling to find work or attempting to deal with rising costs of gas, groceries, and higher education.

Seize the day.
