Obama Only Offers “Campaign-Ready” Policy

Happy Wednesday folks,

Yesterday, President Obama released a budget that was labeled as “campaign-ready” by The Los Angeles Times. In it, the President doubles down on his liberal ideology, imposing an increase in $1.8 trillion in new tax revenue. Additionally, the budget calls for a spending increase of $2.5 trillion over the budget’s window (a 71 percent increase).

If his budget proposal is nothing short of a cynical political stunt, the American people expect nothing different from the Administration’s plan to “let insurers sell policies that don’t comply with the federal health law for at least 12 more months.”

The alteration would be one of a series the administration has made amid the law’s rocky rollout,” according to The Wall Street Journal’s Louise Radnofsky and Anna Wilde Mathews.

A closer look at the “fix” reveals the Obama Administration’s true intentions: “Prolonging the ‘keep your plan’ fix will avoid another wave of health policy cancellations otherwise expected this fall. The cancellations would have created a firestorm for Democratic candidates in the last, crucial weeks before Election Day,” wrote The Hill’s Elise Viebeck.

American families, still struggling in the Obama economy, deserve more than political ploys from the President. It’s unfair that he and his liberal allies continue to prioritize political games over sound policy.

Seize the day.
