Obama “Just Missing It” On More Than Just Basketball Skills

16Jan

Happy Thursday folks,

According to Jonathan Karl, Richard Coolidge and Jordyn Phelps, renowned political commentator Chris Bosh recently observed that President Obama “looks like he’s just missing it,” when referring to the President’s basketball abilities. (Luckily for Obama, Bosh confined his analysis to the President’s basketball shortcomings, instead of discussing Obama’s bowling skills.)

Another skill where President Obama is “missing it” is stewardship over the economy. While the President continues to make half-hearted pivots to the economy through campaign-style rallies, middle-class Americans are hurting.

Colleen McCain Nelson of The Wall Street Journal recently reported that Obama is scrambling to address his 2013 to-do list “[a]mid criticism that the president has made little headway on his agenda.”

One part of his agenda, per his 2013 State of the Union Address, is “to reignite the true engine of America’s economic growth — a rising, thriving middle class.”

But recent data show that his liberal policies are causing economic hardship, not growth.

More Americans, 42 [percent], say they are financially worse off now than they were a year ago,” According to a recent Gallup survey. Conversely, only 35 percent of Americans say that they are financially better off than they were a year ago.

It’s not fair to the American people that President Obama and his liberal allies continue to pursue an agenda that does not foster growth and makes life more expensive for middle-class families. Costs for things like education, energy, and healthcare have gone up under his leadership, while economic opportunity has not.

Don’t gutterball the day.
