If Obama Has “Cabin Fever” Guess How The Middle Class Feels

Happy Monday folks,

Valerie Jarrett, senior advisor to President Obama, recently lamented that she, President Obama, and the rest of the Administration have “cabin fever.”

While the American people are of course sad for President Obama, they are experiencing an economic cabin fever that continues to take its toll.

Not only are there “well over 2 million more [unemployed people] than before the recession,” and “the share of the workforce that is working part time but would prefer to work full time remains quite high by historical standards,” but the outlook for economic growth doesn’t look good, either.

Earlier this morning, the International Monetary Fund scaled back its forecast for U.S. economic growth this year by a whopping 29 percent.

It’s clear that the liberal policies of President Obama, Senate Majority Leader Reid, and House Minority Pelosi have failed to help the middle class at a time when they badly need economic growth.

If President Obama is truly looking for something to do during his moment of cabin fever, he should go out and visit with the millions of families that are struggling under his leadership.

Conservatives must continue to show that their ideas can help these very families escape the economic rut that liberal policies have kept them in.

Seize the day.
