The negative consequences from Obamacare are even more troubling.
Americans have come to learn that the disastrous law is raising premiums, disincentivizing people to work, preventing small businesses to “hire more workers since it would create an administrative burden,” and now the public sector is shifting workers to under 30 hours per week.
According to The New York Times’ Robert Pear, “Cities, counties, public schools and community colleges around the country have limited or reduced the work hours of part-time employees to avoid having to provide them with health insurance under the Affordable Care Act, state and local officials say.”
And today, the Obama Administration will likely announce a new assault on Medicare Advantage plans.
Bearded economist Douglas Holtz-Eakin reminds us of Obamacare’s impact on Medicare Advantage: “Obamacare financed its assault on existing insurance arrangements in part by $156 billion over 10 years in direct cuts to Medicare Advantage plans — cuts to be exacerbated by indirect spillovers from changes in the Medicare Advantage funding formula.”
Americans deserve more than what they’re getting from President Obama’s liberal agenda.
