Now Cliche: Another Obamacare Delay

YGNetwork-MorningBuzz2

Happy Tuesday folks,

It looks like an Obamacare mandate has been put off again, and it’s off-putting how this problematic law continues its disastrous rollout.

The White House has politicized its signature policy,” according to National Journal’s Ron Fournier, and this time it’s another delay of the employer mandate. As The New York Times’ Robert Pear reports, “The Obama administration announced on Monday that it would postpone enforcement of a federal requirement for medium-size employers to provide health insurance to employees and allow larger employers more flexibility in how they provide coverage.” Now businesses with 50 to 99 employees will be exempt from Obamacare coverage penalties until 2016.

A majority of Americans still disapprove of Obamacare, and it’s easy to see why: the law continues to hurt middle-class Americans at a time when the American economy is still being pummeled by the liberal agenda.

For example, the NFIB recently reported that small business optimism has gone flat, and Gallup reports that only 39 percent of Americans believe the economy is getting better, while 55 percent believe the economy is getting worse (resulting in a net economic outlook score of -16).

With such a troubling economic outlook, it’s clear that is the wrong time for an expensive, confusing law that limits medical choices and disincentives people to work.

This latest delay is not merely the Administration’s benevolence toward businesses, it’s just another example of how this law is not working.

Don’t delay the day.
