Happy Tuesday folks,
Charlie Cook recently wrote in National Journal that the United States economy has been going through an “exceedingly sluggish recovery.”
He’s right, and the American people recognize that liberal policies have not helped matters.
The policy choices made by President Obama, Senate Minority Leader Reid, and House Minority Pelosi have distracted them from helping people get back to work.
According to YG Network’s Tracking Poll, 57 percent of battleground constituents agree that while President Obama and Democrats have focused on Obamacare and climate change, working middle-class families continue to struggle and the President and Democrats don’t seem to have any economic plan for the future. Only 32 percent of battleground constituents disagree.
This lack of economic focus from Washington’s liberal elite has left the American people pessimistic about the economy’s outlook.
According to Gallup’s Economic Confidence Index, a majority of the American people (54 percent) believe the economy is getting worse, while only 41 percent believe it’s getting better.
That’s why YG Network is excited to partner with the American Enterprise Institute and National Affairsnext week for two panels with policymakers and leading thinkers to discuss a solutions-oriented agenda for middle-class Americans. In addition, YG Network will release its new policy book: “Room To Grow: Conservative Reforms For A Limited Government And A Thriving Middle Class.”
