Happy Monday folks,
The Left’s healthcare law continues to cause problems for the American people. The fact that seven million people have picked out a plan (but not necessarily paid their first premium), “doesn’t guarantee success for the country’s newest social program,” according to the AP’s Ricardo Alonso-Zaldivar.
Not only does Obamacare knock municipal workers down to a 29-hour work-week, create a “disincentive to work,” and will cause premiums to “skyrocket,” but it’s also a major threat to the popular program Medicare Advantage. (Note, Medicare Advantage has an 85% approval rating among seniors, according to YG Network’s recent Seniors Poll.)
The plan, which cuts existing insurance arrangements by more than $150 billion over the next 10 years, is just another example of Obamacare’s toxicity. It’s so bad, in fact, that some of the original supporters of Obamacare are trying to cover their tracks regarding their ties to the law.
Obamacare’s “cuts to Medicare Advantage insurers, which are expected to be included in planned 2015 payments to be unveiled Monday, have drawn increasingly vocal opposition” from even liberal lawmakers, according to The Wall Street Journal’s Kristina Peterson and Anna Wilde Mathews.
Simply put, the American people deserve better policy than what they are getting from liberals in Washington.
Seize the day.
