Why Liberals Don’t Want To Talk About Obamacare

Happy Monday folks,

A brand-spankin-new YG Network tracking poll reveals that despite President Obama’s recent praises of his healthcare law, battleground constituents across America continue to disapprove of Obamacare and are worried about its effects.

In fact, their disapproval with the law increased from March to April (from 52% disapproval to 55% disapproval).

Additionally, battleground constituents view Obamacare as a guillotine looming over their employer-sponsored healthcare plan. More than one third of respondents fear Obamacare will cause them to lose or have their health insurance coverage changed. That’s an awful lot of worried people for a healthcare law that is supposedly a success.

With such negative public sentiment surrounding Obamacare, it’s easy to understand why liberals, in panic mode, are attempting to pivot to other pet projects. Note the recent remarks made liberal pollster Margie Omero to CNN: “I think it’s easier to talk about issues like equal pay or an increase in the minimum wage … Obamacare has always been less popular.”

However, the American people see through that political ploy and resoundingly disagree with it. By a two to one majority (64% to 33%), Americans say that expanding economic growth for everyone is more important than narrowing the gap between rich and poor.

The liberal worldview does not work for hardworking middle-class families, and it’s evident that the American public is becoming increasingly aware of their agenda’s failure. As a result, it’s critical that conservatives demonstrate sound policy alternatives that actually help people with everyday costs for things like healthcare, higher education, gas, and groceries.

Seize the day.
