Happy Tuesday folks,
An oven-fresh ABC/Washington Post poll reveals that President Obama and his failed liberal agenda continues to fall out of favor with the American people.
Dan Balz and Scott Clement wrote that Obama’s tumble in the poll “is all the more striking when compared with his standing a year ago, as he was preparing for his second inauguration after a solid reelection victory. That high note proved fleeting as the president faced a series of setbacks, culminating in the botched rollout of his Affordable Care Act two months ago.”
So where is Obama now that the “high note” is no longer present?
On the economy, 55 percent disapprove (fourth straight month of 50 percent disapproval or worse), only 42 percent approve.
On the implementation of Obamacare, 62 percent disapprove, only 34 percent approve
And his overall job approval is not looking good, either.
A majority of Americans, 55 percent, say that they disapprove of the way he is handling his job as President (41 percent “strongly disapprove,” and 14 percent “somewhat disapprove”), while only 43 percent approve of the of the way he’s handling his job.
It’s reasonable to expect that President Obama’s approval ratings will further slide as Americans continue to learn about the havoc wrought by his healthcare law.
For example, Politico’s David Nather recently wrote that Obamacare has a “time bomb lurking” around the corner: “rate hikes for small businesses.” It will be important to keep tabs on this deadline, as the Administration has shown that it will punt deadlines down the field for political purposes.
American families work too hard too see their hard-earned money squandered on a failed healthcare law. This poll reveals that Americans are fed up with the liberal agenda, so conservatives must take the helm and offer a positive, solution-oriented agenda.
