President Obama and his liberal agenda are angering millions of Americans and even traditional allies of the Left, labor unions, say that President Obama’s narrow agenda is “simply a recipe for disaster.”
The United Mine Workers of America recently blasted the Administration’s decision to curb coal emissions when it said that “The proposed rule issued today by the Environmental Protection Agency will lead to long-term and irreversible job losses for thousands of coal miners, electrical workers, utility workers, boilermakers, railroad workers and others without achieving any significant reduction of global greenhouse gas emissions.”
The group estimates by that 2035, job losses as a result of the proposed rule will be more than 150,000.
The Left’s agenda doesn’t just cause concern for labor unions. In fact, a new Washington Post/ABC News poll reveals that their agenda is resoundingly disapprove of the way that liberals are governing.
For example,
- 56 percent of Americans disapprove of the way Obama is handling implementation of his healthcare law (only 39 percent approve)
- 53 percent disapprove of his handling of the economy while only 43 percent approve (55 percent of independents disapprove; only 39 percent approve)
- 50 percent disapprove of Obama’s handling of foreign affairs and only 41 percent approve.
Because it is exhausted, there has never been a better time for Americans to hear ideas about how conservatives can help make their lives better through policies that lower costs and expand opportunity.
