Happy Thursday folks,
One thing that liberals just don’t get: Americans know that Obamacare is both bad healthcare policy and bad for the economy.
Yesterday at a Christian Science Monitor event, DNC Chair and Florida Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz said that people are not concerned about Obamacare. Instead, she thinks “They’re asking about investing in education, focusing on continuing to create jobs, making sure that we can make housing more affordable — the bread and butter, kitchen table issues that will add to the confidence that Americans have that this economy is continuing to improve.”
While she is right in stating that Americans are concerned about “kitchen table issues,” her faulty liberal logic gets the best of her about Obamacare. The fact is, Obamacare is a kitchen table issue, and hardworking Americans are suffering because of it. It is raising their costs, reducing work hours, and restricting access to their preferred doctors.
YG Network’s recent battleground poll shows that 56 percent of independents oppose the law, so conservatives are right to stand with the American people in opposition to the law. However, where Wasserman Shultz severs Obamacare from the economy, conservatives must continue to remind people that Obamacare negatively impacts their pocketbooks.
Seize the day.
