Happy Wednesday folks,
Today, as the Senate Finance Committee begins its consideration of Sylvia Mathews Burwell as the next HHS Secretary, we are reminded that Obamacare continues to be problematic for the American people.
We already know that the law “creates a disincentive to work” and compels small businesses to restructure important business decisions, which includes “reducing their employees’ hours, for example, or trimming their total head counts to fewer than 50 full-time workers,” but we are also reminded that Obamacare takes away people’s access to their doctors.
The Associated Press recently profiled a woman who learned that due to Obamacare, “her doctor wasn’t taking her new insurance.”
This is particularly problematic for her, because she is losing the doctor that she has had for “years and years.” She is now “discouraged” and “stuck” in Obamacare.
It’s not fair Obamacare causes so much disruption and frustration for everyday Americans. They are already hurting enough in Obama’s economy. Obamacare’s negative impact is just a kick while they’re down.
Seize the day.
