A brighter future

Yesterday, we wrote about presenting bright ideas to reduce the stress and strain that middle class families feel from rising energy prices—and there are a lot of families who are feeling this pinch. 9 out of 10 respondent to our poll said they had seen an increase in the money they paid for energy. Add to that the 88% of Americans who feel that these rising energy prices are hurting their personal finances, and it’s clear to see that this issue needs to be tackled in order for Americans to move forward.

But how do we tackle these issues?

Well, conservatives are poised to tackle the issue of high energy crisis head on—and there’s never been a better time to do it.

65% of respondents agree that we should expand drilling off-shore and on federal lands after knowing that the United States has enough natural gas to meet our energy needs for 90 years.

But expanding offshore drilling doesn’t mean that we aren’t looking at renewable resources as well, in fact almost 84% of respondents believe that we simultaneously focus on energy production and environmental protection. With that level of support, it won’t be hard to start new measures and ease (at least some) of the woes of Middle Class americans.

Americans see that the policies of President Obama, and his liberal allies Pelosi and Reid, aren’t the direction that nation should be heading. Conservatives have the chance to present an energy policy that helps expand the middle-class and propel America into a brighter future.
