(We see a living room set with couches and chairs arranged in a semi-circle. The set is slightly darkened. Five to six people begin to file into the living room and take their seats One of the persons is the “Facilitator” – the group leader, a “Wayne Dye/Dr. Phil” type. During this scene, we cut to each person as they speak.)
FACILITATOR:
I mean… How much longer can we do this? A day? A week? A year? I mean… If we don’t help him now…I fear that he’s never ganna get the help.
PERSON ONE:
He seemed like he had it under control…
PERSON THREE:
Well he always said that “this would be the last time” and everything will be fine…
PERSON FOUR:
Yeah… But there’s always a next time, another promise, another excuse.
PERSON TWO:
Once he started he couldn’t stop.
FACILITATOR:
And it’s hard to say these things to someone that you love. Right? First there’s the excuses, and then there’s the denial. I mean… healing begins with the truth.
