Though the days are brighter now that we are in Daylight Savings Time (if you haven’t set your clocks forward yet, you really, really should), the economy is still gloomy under the Left’s stewardship.
Liberal policies under President Obama, Senate Majority Leader Reid, and House Minority Leader Pelosi have not fostered an environment for the American people to get good jobs.
“The fact that 70% of Americans continue to say it is not a good time to find a quality job is an important indicator of the still-shaky nature of the U.S. economy,” according to a recent Gallup survey.
With seven in ten Americans holding such a bleak view of the economy, it’s no wonder that the most recent CNN/ORC International poll reveals that 53 percent of Americans disapprove of how Obama is “handling his overall job in the White House.”
It would be bad enough for middle-class Americans if it were just a struggling overall economy. But laws like Obamacare are also hurting their pocketbooks. Take the law’s penalty for not having health insurance, for example: “For many households, the penalty for not having health insurance under the Affordable Care Act will ‘almost always’ run more than the $95 figure often cited in news reports.”
Even a large labor union, Unite Here, recently released its fury on Obamacare. Its report, titled “The Irony of Obamacare: Making Inequality Worse,” details how the law will move people to move people to part time work and cut people’s pay.
The liberal agenda has shown that it doesn’t work in real life. Conservatives must offer an optimistic vision for how they can help everyday Americans with their economic problems.
