For many Americans, losing a job can be a brutal experience. It’s uncomfortable. It’s shocking. But for most, it’s temporary. In the past, jobs came and jobs went, and it was only a matter of time before you found the next one. But that may be changing.
As the Wall Street Journal profiles, Mark Riley is one of those hard working Americans who, through no fault of his own, is being left without steady work. In fact, as WSJ writes, nearly one in six prime working-age men (25-54 years old) are without full-time work. One in six. Clearly, the economic policies of this administration are hampering American’s ability to find meaningful, sustained work.
It’s time for conservatives to drive policy ideas that help get these Americans back to work.
