U.S. Senator John Thune (S.D.) will headline the series’ kickoff on Thursday morning (details below). Thune will respond to President Obama’s State of the Union address and discuss the topics of economic growth, job creation and income inequality. Thune will be joined by American Enterprise Institute (AEI) Resident Scholar Michael Strain, whose work on the unemployed has been widely cited. The discussion will be hosted by noted conservative leader and YG Network Policy Advisor Kate O’Beirne.

“With our new ‘On The Radar’ calls, YG Network is going to be placing a spotlight on an optimistic conservative agenda to solve our country’s most pressing problems,” said YG Network Policy Director April Ponnuru. “President Obama, Nancy Pelosi and other liberals are attempting to rebrand the same policies that have already failed middle-class Americans. We’re going to be working with smart, next-generation conservatives like Senator Thune and Michael Strain to keep the American Dream alive. As the Obama economy limps into its sixth awful year, we need this positive, forward-looking conservative agenda more than ever.”
*Members of the news media will have the opportunity to ask questions of YG Network’s “On The Radar” guests. The call will begin promptly and end at the scheduled time.
