Happy Monday folks,
With all the problems that Obamacare is causing, it should not be shocking that the American people overwhelmingly disapprove of the law. According to a recent Pew Research survey, 53 percent of America disapproves of Obamacare, while a mere 41 percent support it. (It’s also important to keep in mind that only 37 percent of self-identified Independents support the law.)
A glaring issue with the law that keeps its support so low is the fact that it does not address the cost issue of healthcare. “Several recent studies point to provisions in the Affordable Care Act—such as the requirement that insurers cover sick individuals as well as preventive care, like mammograms—that could lead to higher prices, at least in the short term,” according to The Wall Street Journal’s Avery Johnson.
On top of the higher premiums, Kelli Kennedy of the Associated Press recently reported that, “Obamacare plans bring hefty fees for certain drugs.”
The disruptions caused by the healthcare law continue to hurt middle-class families that are still struggling in the Obama economy. It’s not fair that President Obama and his liberal allies like Senate Majority Leader Reid and House Minority Leader Pelosi continue to advocate policies that hurt everyday Americans in order to pursue their far-Left agenda.
Seize the day.
