Happy Wednesday folks,
Major Garrett of National Journal recently profiled the shift of then-Senator Barack Obama’s “outrage” over “mismanagement of veterans care” to his current “We’ll get back to you” responses to the current VA scandal.
But outrage over the treatment of veterans isn’t the only place where President Obama is inconsistent in his actions.
His signature healthcare law has failed to live up to several promises that President Obama made to the American people. For example, “the average family” is NOT saving $2,500 a year on their premiumsas he promised. And if you like your healthcare plan, you might not be able to actually keep your healthcare plan, despite his previous assurances.
Obamacare’s failures do not stop there.
Stephanie Armour and Louise Radnofsky of The Wall Street Journal recently noted “that emergency rooms have become busier since the Affordable Care Act expanded insurance coverage this year, despite the law’s goal of reducing unnecessary care in ERs.”
The American people are tired of Obama’s failed liberal worldview and his lack of managerial competence.
Even young people (who were traditionally allies of Obama) are feeling the brunt of these failures.
According to a new National Journal/University of Texas poll, “Almost exactly three-fifths [of 18-32 year old’s] rated the “economic conditions in this country today’ as ‘somewhat bad’ or ‘very bad.’”
Across virtually any policy area, conservatives have a great opportunity to show that the liberal way of thinking doesn’t actually work to help people.
Check out tomorrow’s event at AEI which includes several commonsense, conservative solutions for the middle class.
Seize the day.
