Happy Thursday folks,
Because President Obama’s policies continue to hurt middle-class Americans, he is down to his most-trusted tactic: lashing at those who disagree with him.
Last week at a political fundraiser, President Obama opined that Washington gridlock exists because of “ideologically rigid” conservatives getting in his way, and that his liberal policies are not to blame because “there are no radical proposals coming from the left.”
President Obama and his liberal allies should recognize that opposition to their policies is not based on petty obstructionism by a small “group of folks.” On the contrary, opposition to policies like Obamacare remains widespread. According to a new Gallup poll, a majority of Americans disapprove of the healthcare law (51 percent), even as “the Obama administration is boasting higher-than-expected enrollment.”
The liberal agenda isn’t working. And despite what President Obama might think, it’s not because of a cynical conservative agenda. Liberal ideas simply don’t work for hardworking Americans.
Ideas found in YG Network’s new book, Room To Grow, on the other hand, can help the middle class flourish.
As YG Network’s Reihan Salam recently wrote in National Review Online, Room To Grow is rooted in the belief “that government is failing to give the institutions between individuals and the federal government the room they need to grow, to flourish, and to solve problems as they arise.”
Middle-class Americans deserve better than what they are getting from President Obama and his liberal allies. Room To Grow is a start in forming the policy framework that can get them back on their feet.
