Happy Monday folks,
As evidenced by President Obama’s expected actions today on student loans, the liberal agenda nips at the corners instead of addressing the root of problems.
For example, President Obama’s failure to focus on strong economic growth is hurting the very young people he is addressing today. Recall the analysis from Paul Wiseman of the Associated Press from a few weeks ago: “But finding work — especially a dream job — remains tough for those just graduating. Many are settling for jobs outside their fields of study or for less pay than they’d expected or hoped for.”
And liberals’ all-in approach to pet projects has had a negative impact on the rest of the economy. As the Associated Press’ Josh Boak and Christopher S. Rugaber recently noted, “the comeback is far from complete” because “the economy still lacks its former firepower.”
Boak and Rugaber remind us that “Just 58.9 percent of working-age Americans have jobs, down from 62.7 percent at the start of the recession.”
Fresh conservative ideas are more important now than ever, and Ponnuru notes that YG Network’s new policy book, Room To Grow, offers a platform that has received “handsome praise” from conservatives.
