56 Percent Say Economy Is Getting Worse

Happy Tuesday folks,

As President Obama travels abroad this week, it is critical that he doesn’t neglect the problems facing the domestic economy.

In the sixth year of his administration, middle-class Americans continue to suffer due to a lagging economy.

As you may recall, last week Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen said that the US economy is “not close to full employment,” and it’s clear that the President’s liberal policies have not helped matters.

Additionally, Gallup’s Economic Confidence Index notes that the American people “appear resigned to believing the economy is deficient.” Fifty-six percent of the country believe that the economy is getting worse, while only 39 percent say it’s getting better.

It’s time for President Obama and his liberal allies like House Minority Leader Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Reid to put their pet projects aside and focus on an agenda that encourages growth and job creation.

Conservatives must continue to demonstrate that their policy ideas can help the American people, while the liberal agenda keeps a majority of Americans thinking that the economy is getting worse.

Seize the day.
